General Arrangement Drawings

A tender-stage proposal for student accommodation at UCD Belfield, developed as a paired residential block addition to the existing Building 71. The scheme retains and adapts the original structure, layering new four-storey residence wings above an adaptive-reuse ground floor.

The design centres on efficient, repeatable student units organised along a central circulation spine, with a rhythmic facade of regular window bays articulating the upper residential floors. The tender package was developed across scales from a 1:100 floor plan and section through to a hand-drawn 1:5 wall section detailing the full external envelope build-up: K-Rend silicone render on Kingspan-insulated timber studwork over a 90mm concrete structure, with internal Isover-insulated lining.
